About Us
GIANT STEPS VENDING is one of the programs of Giant Steps Training Programs, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization operating in Los Angeles County. We aim to help adult individuals with special needs and developmental disabilities attain independence and self-sufficiency through job training and coaching.
Propelled by a team of experienced professionals and fueled by a common goal, we realize this mission through our strategic training programs. These initiatives are designed to provide our trainees with crucial skills and supplementary income, eventually leading them to acquire sustainable employment.
What is a 501(c)(3) organization?
501(c)(3) is a status granted by the state to an organization that exists solely for charitable purposes. This means 100% of its profits and activities are directed toward community welfare and not for the personal benefit of its shareholders. It also maintains political neutrality and does not associate with any legislative campaigns.
Such organizations also undergo a tedious assessment process and must adhere to specific regulations in terms of organizational structure, governance, and programs. All 501(c)(3 are administered by the US Department of Treasury through the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Since our founding in 2001, our dedicated team has led hundreds of disadvantaged individuals into living more fulfilling and dignified lives. From a small corner of Los Angeles, Giant Steps has now grown into a leading non-profit organization for people with special needs in the entire LA County and beyond.
